🎧 A 303-style acid synth — one note at a time (monophonic). Write a line on the grid, then twist the filter while it plays.
- Write notes
- Click a cell in the grid to place a note for that step (higher = up). Click the lit note again to clear the step. It's monophonic, so one note per column.
- ACC (accent)
- The row under the grid — toggle a step to hit it harder and open the filter more on that note. This is what gives acid lines their bounce.
- SLD (slide)
- Toggle to glide smoothly from this note into the next instead of re-plucking it (portamento) — the signature 303 “wormy” movement.
- Cutoff & Resonance
- Cutoff = how bright/dark; Resonance = the squelchy emphasis at the cutoff. Crank resonance and sweep cutoff while it plays — that's the sound.
- Env mod & Decay
- Env mod = how far each note kicks the filter open; Decay = how fast it closes again. Together they make the “wow”.
- Wave
- Saw (buzzy, classic) or Square (hollow, rubbery).
- Transport
- ▶ Play, Tempo, Swing, and Patterns… for a couple of starter acid lines. Clear wipes the grid.
- Spatial
- Tick it to orbit the whole bassline around your head (HRTF); the bars dropdown sets how many bars per lap.
